Zeta: The Spirit Tamer Intro

So here's the FanFic that I thought up of: Zeta, the Spirit Ranger.
No, it's not like Power Rangers. That show sucks.

Here's the main facts:
The story takes place in modern-day New York City. Zareb, a local 14 year old orphan who thinks he is living a most horrible life having to live with 6 other orphans who pick on him, while going to a public school where he is picked on as well, suddenly gets his life completely turned around after meeting a young girl while walking back to the orphanage during a rain storm at night.

What happened? While walking back home, he saw the young girl walking alone in the rain without an umbrella. Since Zareb was nice enough and had a fairly large enough umbrella, he asked if she needed some shelter from the rain. She kindly accepted his offer and asked his name. He told her name and she told him that her name was Tangia. She went into a very short trance and asked Zareb to hold out his hand. She then gave him a small black box wrapped in a white bow. He looked down to put the small box in the pocket of his jacket. When he looked up, she was gone. He was confused, but he walked back to the orphanage without saying a word to anyone about her.

Later that night he had a dream about her, she was saying his name and saying the names of letters that were unfamiliar to him. He then woke up in the middle of the nignt, panting and nearly drenched in his own sweat. He thought to himself about the girl and what was in the box. He never opened it, but he decided to open it the next day.
